Single-Turbo Manifold Design
BMW E36 (M50)
A tubular single-turbo exhaust manifold for the M50 six-cylinder, engineered with equal runner length and diameter and an optimized wastegate position to control boost past 720hp on a T4-sized turbo.
Manifold design is a packaging problem as much as a flow problem. Runner diameter and length were matched across all six cylinders for even pulse timing, then the whole manifold was routed to give the wastegate a position that actually controls boost predictably at high flow rather than fighting it.
The manifold is sized to run a T4-class turbo supporting more than 720hp, with flanges CNC machined flat for a gasket-ready seal under sustained boost.
Highlights
- Equal runner length and diameter across all six cylinders
- Wastegate position optimized for predictable boost control
- Sized for a T4-class turbo and 720hp+ of flow
- CNC-machined flanges for a leak-free seal under boost

Exhaust Flange Design System
A cross-platform library of intake and exhaust flanges, each engineered to the specific port geometry and stud pattern of its engine or turbo rather than one-off per job.
