Adjustable Lower Radius Arm

BMW E39

A length-adjustable lower radius arm for the E39, reverse-engineered from a 3D scan and built from repurposed OEM parts for real camber and caster correction with factory-level durability.

3D ScanningCAD DesignCNC Machining

Factory rubber-bushed arms have no adjustment and go out of spec the moment ride height changes. The original E39 arm was 3D scanned first to capture its exact mounting geometry, then redesigned around an adjustable joint rather than replaced with a generic aftermarket rod end.

The adjustable end pairs an OEM Land Rover tie-rod end with an Opel adjustment bolt and spherical joint — sourced parts rather than a proprietary rod end — so camber and caster can be dialed in independently after any ride-height change, while the joint stays sealed against road dust and easy to replace.

Highlights

  • 3D scan of the factory arm used to capture exact mounting geometry
  • Independent camber and caster adjustment via an OEM Land Rover tie-rod end
  • Opel adjustment bolt and spherical joint for low cost and easy sourcing
  • Sealed against road dust for daily-driver durability, not just track use
