Big Brake Kit with Alfa Romeo Giulia Caliper
BMW E36
A big brake kit built around a 340mm disc and an Alfa Romeo Giulia caliper, with a CNC-machined steel bracket engineered for durability rather than a cast aluminum adapter.
The Giulia caliper was chosen for its pad area and rigidity, but nothing about it was designed to mount to an E36 hub. The mounting bracket was engineered in CAD to carry a 340mm disc on-center under the caliper while keeping correct pad alignment and wheel clearance.
The bracket is CNC machined from steel rather than cast or machined from aluminum, prioritizing long-term durability over shaving grams on a part that takes the full clamping load of a big brake caliper.
Highlights
- 340mm disc paired with an Alfa Romeo Giulia caliper
- Custom bracket engineered for correct disc centering and pad alignment
- CNC machined from steel for durability under sustained brake loads

Brakes & Wheels
Brake Cooling Duct
A 3D-printed brake duct inspired by the Porsche GT3's design, feeding cold high-pressure air from under the car straight to the disc through the OEM brake shield.

Centerlock Wheel Conversion
A centerlock hub adapter letting the E36 run 18-inch 13J Nissan GT3 Nismo wheels, with a wheel nut based on the Porsche 917 BBS design.

Custom Wheel Spacers
Precision wheel spacers built in whichever style actually suits the hub — pressed-in studs, pressed-in steel inserts, or simple through-bolt — rather than one generic design forced onto every car.
